What USB Steering wheel are you using with MAME?
(too old to reply)

The one thing my MAME cabinet doesn't do well is support driving
games.
I've seen steering systems from Logitech and Xbox and others, so what
are you guys using for MAME driving games, like Crusin' USA or
Daytona, or Spy Hunter?

Do you use a wired or wireless rig?
Do you have Pedals and a stick shift or do you use a wheel with shift
paddles on the back of the wheel?

I have a Pole Position steering wheel that I got working on my MAME
quite a while back.

So, what interface did you use to get the steering wheel to talk to
MAME?
Do you have the shifter and pedals, too?
I was thinking about how I could add the steering system to my
cabinet, and its either I build a new control panel to swap out with
my primary when I want to drive, or (preferred) I was thinking about a
barstool and tall table where I could attach a steering rig, and mount
a set of pedals on a lower shelf at footrest height.  Logitech has
some really nice, and expensive USB steering wheels, but I have some
concern about how well they'd translate to arcade games.  Most of the
arcade games used what was basically a giant spinner, right?  And I
doubt the force feedback functions would translate back through MAME.
Crap I knew you were going to ask this.. IIRC (it's been a while since
I hooked it up) I think I used the mouse inputs and just wired it
directly. I haven't tried the gas pedal or shifter yet. I do recall it
working great. My MAME is waaay in the back of my garage (basically
burried) by my pins.

I'm going to buy a Logitech MOMO steering wheel/shifter/pedals for
$80.
We'll see how well that works.
